Hoewel de Nederlandse tak van Anonymous zo goed als verdwenen lijkt te zijn (verdwenen? neeee.. underground 😉 ) zijn de protesten in het buitenland nog altijd vaste prik,met soms hilarische foto’s en filmpjes als bijwerking. Ik blijf mij echt iedere keer opnieuw bescheuren om de volslagen absurde manier van protesteren die Anonymous er op na weet te houden (het is een verademing in een wereld die verscheurd lijkt te worden door geweld en haat), het is bijna een real life Monty Python sketch geworden. Materiaal van een ‘raid’ (De sekte hield een demonstratie tegen ‘de misstanden in de psychiatrie’ tijdens de psychiatrist convention in San Francisco, en Anonymous..ach ja kijk zelf maar):
De demonstratie zelf was een perfect voorbeeld van de manier waarop Scientology zich naar de buitenkant toe opstelt als een volstrekt redelijke beweging die misstanden in de openbaarheid wil brengen.Stop drugging our children, welk verstandig mens is het er niet mee eens? Ook in mijn ogen krijgen kinderen, en zeker in Amerika, veel te snel medicatie voorgeschreven die een structurele bewustzijns en soms ook persoonlijkheidsverandering met zich meebrengen. Afhankelijk van je standpunt zou je zelfs kunnen zeggen dat die structurele verandering (on)gewenst is.

In 1969, L. Ron Hubbard wrote a confidential memo to his wife, then
head of Scientology’s espionage branch, called “The War”. In it, he
envisioned Scientologists destroying psychiatry and replacing it with
Scientology:
“Our war has been forced to become ‘To take over
absolutely the field of mental healing on this planet in all forms. …
Our total victory will come when we run [the psychiatrist’s]
organisations, perform his functions and obtain his financing and
appropriations.”
On October 7, 1995, Scientology’s Chairman of
the Board, David Miscavige, spoke to tens of thousands of Scientologists
around the world. He set a goal for Scientologists – destroying
psychiatry in five years:
“There are a lot of opinions out there
as to what is wrong with Earth, 1995. But if you really want to
eliminate those problems all you have to do is work for the objectives
that we, as members of the IAS, have set for the year 2000: Objective
One – place Scientology at the absolute forefront of Society. Objective
Two – eliminate psychiatry in all its forms. Let’s get rid of
psychiatry, and let’s bring Scientology to every man, woman and child on
this planet.”
